Arrests made in duo attempting to break into parents' house

Two young men are now behind bars after attempting to break into a house on June 6.

On June 6 2011, Port Allen Police Officers received a call from a concerned neighbor who stated two black males were attempting to break into a residence.

Police arrived to find Chris Jenkins, 19, and Herman Honore, 23. The residence belongs to Jenkins’ parents.

Officers made contact with Jenkins parents and learned that Jenkins did not have permission to be in or at the residence at the time.

This incident occurred while Jenkins’ mother was in the hospital due to a heart attack.

Both Jenkins and Honore were charged with Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling and Simple Criminal Damage to Property.
