Argument with landlord lands Houma man in jail for drug possession
HOUMA, LA (NBC33) — A Houma man ended up behind bars police were called because of a verbal argument he was having with his landlord.
The Houma Police Department reports that the incident happened on Thursday, Nov. 8 shortly after 5:00 p.m. We’re told officers were called to a residence located on the 400 block of Gouaux Ave. due to a disturbance.
When officers arrived they learned that the tenant, Jordan T. Theriot, 32, was arguing with his landlord. The officer checked the common area of the residence with his K-9 Rex. The K-9 located two small bags of suspected marijuana weighing 2.5 grams, 1 Hydrocodone pill, and drug paraphernalia.
Theriot was arrested and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Jail.
