APSO arrests Prairieville man for stealing nearly $5K from employer

ASCENSION PARISH, LA (NBC33) — A Paririeville man is now facing felony theft charges for using a company credit card for personal use.
Investigators say Joseph Albert, 44, charged $4,980.33 on his employer’s gas card.
Major Kevin Hanna, sheriff’s spokesperson, says Albert used the card in Ascension and neighboring Parishes.
Albert was fired by his employer Airgas, Inc. on July 24, 2014
Deputies arrested Albert on August 19, 2014, for 12 felony counts of unauthorized use of access card.
Hanna says Albert was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail and was released on a $30,000.
Albert is now awaiting trial, the date has not been released yet.
