APSO arrests BR man for July 2014 car burglaries in Geismar
GEISMAR, La (NBC33) — A Baton Rouge man is now in jail for a rash of car burglaries in Geismar.
Major Kevin Hanna, sheriff’s spokesperson, says Tyree Davison 18, broke into several cars in the Old Mill and Old Dutchtown Subdivions back in July 2014.
Davison allegedly stole a variety of items including: sunglasses, electronics, a gun, wallets, and loose coin change.
Hanna says detectives figured out Davison was arrested in a neighboring parish on unrelated charges but was found with the stolen gun from Geismar.
Deputies arrested Davison on August 19, 2014, and booked him into the Ascension Parish Jail on the following charges:
- 18 counts of simple vehicle burglary
- 3 counts of attempted simple vehicle burglary
- 15 counts of criminal trespass
- 5 counts of felony theft
- 7 counts of misdemeanor theft
- 1 count of theft of a firearm
At this time, no bond has been set for Davison’s release.
