THIBODAUX, LA (NBC33) — A 21-year-old woman was arrested for battery and disturbing the peace after she allegedly attempted to hit an employee at a nail salon with an end table.
The Thibodaux Police Department reports that the incident occurred on Thursday, April 25 at roughly 2:15 p.m. We’re told the suspect, Andreniki Franklin, entered the business and caused a ruckus.
Witnesses told officers that Franklin cursed and yelled at employees. She wanted someone to “fix her child’s nail polish.” Employees told her that she would have to wait, and that’s allegedly what set her off.
Franklin is accused of trying to physically assault an employee. A bystander reportedly intervened and prevented contact.
Franklin denied the allegations and claimed that all of the witnesses were lying.
Franklin was arrested and charged with two counts of Simple Battery, Entering/Remaining After Being Forbidden, Aggravated Assault, and Disturbing the Peace. She was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.
