Amite teen arrested for beating, cutting someone

An 18 year old man was arrested for allegedly beating and cutting someone, then ran from deputies.

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office reports that on Friday, June 22, deputies arrested Dalvine R. Crosby of Amite, LA. Officials say that at approximately 6:00 a.m., Sgt. Tommy Ferrand and K9 Diego were called to assist in tracking Crosby after he was involved in a disturbance. Crosby is accused of beating and cutting another subject.

Crosby reportedly fled the scene into a wooded area near Ella Dr. in Amite prior to deputies arrival. Sgt. Ferrand deployed TPSO K9 Diego and began tracking him down. During the track, Diego led Ferrand out of the wooded area toward the roadway. While doing so, Sgt. Ferrand observed a parked vehicle. Upon investigation, deputies then observed Crosby attempting to hide behind the parked vehicle.

Crosby was taken into custody without further incident. He was charged with Aggravated Battery, Theft and for a FTA Warrant.
