Tangipahoa Parish deputies arrested 19-year-old Devin Kinchen, of Albany, LA, on Tuesday.

Officers say they arrested Kinchen and took him into custody after he allegedly posed as an undercover Madisonville Police Officer.

Kinchen and two other unknown suspects were seen parked in a driveway on Ruth Stafford Road in Tickfaw.

When approached by a neighbor, Kinchen allegedly replied that he was an undercover Madisonville Police Officer conducting a narcotics investigation and advised the complaint not to contact the authorities.

A short time later, deputies located Kinchen in his red pick-up truck on Faller Road. When asked if he was a police officer, Kinchen replied “no.”

It was also confirmed through the Madisonville PD that he was not employed with the agency.

Subsequently, Kinchen was charged with posing as a police officer and criminal trespass.
