On Wednesday, March 28, a Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Deputy spotted a white Jaguar that was being sought for its involvement in a hit and run investigation. The deputy attempted to pull the vehicle over on St. Antoine Street near Cameron, but the driver accelerated and started a chase.

The deputy says the suspect ran a red light at the intersection of Simcoe at University and hit two vehicles passing through.

Three people were take to a local hospital for treatment. We’re told their injuries are not life-threatening and they are expected to make a full recovery.
