The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call concerning a complaint of gun shots in Labadieville. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a 23 year old victim from Morgan City who said that he, along with his girlfriend and sister, had come to that location to retrieve a vehicle.

An argument began after Matilda Q. Amos, 18, who demanded $60, which was the amount unpaid on a $260 loan to the 23 year old male. The male subject began to enter his car when he overheard Matilda Amos shout “Lets kill them, lets kill them.”

The male subject looked up and saw Trayon Boatner, 17, Labadieville, standing in front of his car with a revolver in his hand.

He put the car in reverse and tried to speed away. Boatner began firing his weapon and struck the car 5 times. The male subject was able to get out of the vehicle and escape unharmed.

Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate Boatner, who fled on foot.

Amos was arrested and charged with Inciting a Felony.

Boatner is wanted for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. He is described as a black male, 6 feet tall with a slim to medium build and has dreadlocks.

This investigation is ongoing and further arrests may be made at later date.
