Ascension Parish (NBC33) — UPDATE 7-16-14: Derek Adair turned himself in to deputies Wednesday evening.
Stacie Gauthier was arrested Tuesday night.
Robert Bennet was also arrested.
ORIGINAL 7-14-14: Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Major Kevin Hanna reports the Sheriff’s Office is continuing its efforts in the parish to arrest individuals that are failing to appear in court after being arrested on felony and misdemeanor criminal charges. The ongoing initiative is called “OPERATION NO SHOW.”
The following individuals ignored their court date, which subsequently led to a bench warrant being issued by the court for failure to appear:
Robert Bennett, 33, of 503 East Hamilton Street, Gonzales, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for aggravated battery.
Elvin Diggs, 59, of 10089 Legion Street, Convent, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for illegal possession of stolen things.
Stacie Gauthier, 41, of 45117 Sterling Road, St. Amant, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of CDS II and possession of CDS IV.
Korey Efferson, 25, of 37604 Amite River, St. Amant, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of CDS II and possession of unidentifiable firearm.
Derek Adair, 34, of 12397 Palmer Road, Gonzales, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of CDS I.
In an effort to reduce these felony bench warrant numbers, twice a month the Sheriff’s Office is airing a photograph and name of a person that has failed to appear in court, Major Hanna said.
Anyone with information about these suspect should contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-621-INFO (4636) or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867).
