Four New Orleans teenagers are behind bars and are facing several burglary and gun charges, say Slidell Police.

Officers say they responded to a call about two suspicious persons walking in the early morning hours, carrying briefcases.

When police arrived on scene, they noticed an SUV fleeing the area.

They stopped the vehicle, and inside were four teenagers, who cops say appeared nervous.

Investigators discovered that the four suspects were burglarizing vehicles in the area.

Inside the SUV were stolen handguns, laptops, purses, and other stolen property. Detectives linked the stolen property back to residents in nearby neighborhoods.

All four suspects face 12 counts of simple burglary, theft of a firearm, and possession of a stolen firearm.

The following were arrested:

Brandon Leblanc, 17
Larry Womack, 19
Rodrick Barnes, 19
Brandon Dunns, 17

Police say all of the vehicles involved in last week’s burglaries were left unlocked.
