3 young men vandalize middle school in Prairieville

Three young men are now in jail for vandalizing an Ascension Parish school.

Sheriff's spokesperson Lt. Col. Bobby Webre says deputies arrested Khrystopher Landix, 18, of Prairieville during a patrol of Galvez Middle School on July 30, 2014.

Investigators say Landix and two juveniles broke into three school buildings, shattered windows, and damaged surveillance cameras and the school’s computer server on the night of July 29, 2014.

Khrystopher Landix (pictured above), 18, was arrested and charged with three counts of simple burglary, 37 counts of simple criminal damage to property, seven counts of criminal mischief, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where his bond has not yet been set.

A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary, 33 counts of damage to property, and three counts of criminal mischief.

A 12-year-old juvenile was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary, 33 counts of damage to property, and three counts of criminal mischief.

Both juveniles were booked into the Assumption Youth Detention Center.
