NEW ORLEANS, LA (NBC33) — A 22-year-old man was arrested for shooting a strip club employee during an armed robbery that was caught on surveillance cameras.
The New Orleans Police Department arrested Marion George on Monday, Dec. 3. They say he’s the man responsible for the crime, which happened on Nov. 12 at a club located on the 400 block of Bourbon Street.
Officials say George entered the building, walked to the manager’s office and fired several rounds through the door. George then kicked the door open, entered the office, shot the manager in the leg, struck him with the gun and robbed the business of cash. George then fled on Bourbon Street in an unknown direction.
George was released from probation back in February of this year for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon which was transferred from Texas.
George is currently being held at Central Lockup for one count of Armed Robbery and one count of Aggravated Second Degree Battery.
