20-year-old man turns himself in for vehicular homicide

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A 20-year-old man from Gulf Shores, AL. turned himself into the Baton Rouge Police Department for an accident that caused the death of Deborah Kennedy, 55, of Denham Springs. The accident happened last year on I-12 near O’Neal Ln.
Officials say that Justice Lovell, 20, was driving a Honda Odyssey eastbound on 1-12 at O’Neal when he failed to slow down in time while approaching traffic congestion. As a result, he crashed into two vehicles, injuring one drive and killing Deborah Kennedy.
The accident occurred on Nov. 10, 2011.
Lovell has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with Negligent Homicide, Reckless Operation, Careless Operation, Safety Belt Required and Speeding.
