A 20-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a gun at an employee of a nightclub.

The Scott Police Department reports that officers responded to a complaint at the Cowboys Nightclub on Sunday, July 21 shortly before 3:00 a.m. When they arrived an employee told them that a man pointed a weapon at him and it had a green laser device on it.

The victim pointed out a truck that was driving away from the crime scene. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver kept going.

Eventually the vehicle stopped and the driver, Justin Pellerin, 21, was issued a citation for Flight From an Officer.

The passenger of the vehicle, John Nash, was identified as the suspect who pointed the weapon at the employee. The officer recovered the gun from the floorboard of the truck.

Nash was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Prison.

Officials did not say why Nash allegedly pointed the gun at the employee.
