2 men lead cops on high speed chase from Ethel to BR
EAST FELICIANA, LA (NBC33) — The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Department has reported two arrests in connection with the robbery at Danny’s to Go Convenient Store located on Highway 19 in Ethel, Louisiana.
Mark Lee, 33, of Zachary and Devin Isadore, 22, of Baton Rouge were both booked on two counts of Armed Robbery. Lee was also booked on one count of Aggravated Flight from an Officer.
On Monday morning, Dec. 9, one of the suspects allegedly entered the convenient store with a handgun and demanded cash from the register and from a customer who was near the counter. The cashier and customer handed over a total of about $285.
The suspect exited the store and got into a waiting vehicle and fled the scene.
The cashier described the vehicle to police. Deputies later observed a vehicle matching that description.
When law enforcement attempted to stop the car at LA 955 and Line Road in Ethel, the driver fled, leading the police on a high speed chase. The chase ended when the suspect’s vehicle crashed at the intersection of US 61 and Thomas Road in Baton Rouge.
The two suspect abandoned the vehicle and were apprehended by officers shortly after.
Most of the stolen cash was recovered from the suspects upon their arrest.
