An 18-year-old woman from Zachary was arrested for DWI after an officer found an open bottle of vodka in her car during a traffic stop.

According to the arrest report, a Baton Rouge Police Officer conducted the traffic stop on Tuesday, Aug. 13 shortly before 1:00 a.m. The officer noticed the vehicle had a headlight out, and then the driver failed to signal when turning onto Nicholson from Bob Pettit Ave. The officer followed the vehicle and initiated the stop when the car swerved onto the shoulder of the road.

The driver of the vehicle, Jordan Lebeau, 18, displayed signs she had been drinking. The officer conducted a field sobriety test. After failing the test she was issued a breath test, which revealed her blood alcohol level to be .0929.

Lebeau was arrested and charged with DWI (first offense), Equipment Violation, Failure to Signal, Improper Lane Change, Driving Left of Center, Drinking in a Motor Vehicle, and Purchase of Alcohol by a Juvenile. She was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
