Federal law enforcement officials say their effort to shut down one of the largest child exploitation websites, started right here in Louisiana, has resulted in the arrest of 14 more people.

Operation Round Table uncovered at least 250 victimized children in 39 states and five countries.

Most of the victims were teenage boys.

In February, federal prosecutors filed charges against Jonathan Johnson, who they say ran subscription-based child porn websites out of his home in Abita Springs.

Authorities say the websites included tutorials on how to entice young boys to create and upload sexually explicit videos of themselves.

"The arrest of these 14 individuals cannot erase the harm suffered by the more than 250 child victims we have identified in this case. But it is an action that will help prevent the victimization of yet more innocent children who might otherwise have been abused," said Gerald O’Farrell of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana, Kenneth Polite, also said: "I look forward to our continued partnership in order to ensure the internet remains a safer place for our most vulnerable citizens, our young children."

Prosecutors say the sites had more than 27,000 members worldwide who were involved in producing and distributing child porn, and more arrests are expected.

Ten additional individuals have been arrested and charged in the Eastern District of Louisiana as the primary operators, contributors and producers of material for the child exploitation enterprise:

  • Daniel Nolan Devor, 39, of Brunswick, Ga., charged with conspiracy to produce child pornography, distribution of child pornography and receipt of materials involving the sexual exploitation of minors
