Crawfish prices up

If you're hungry for crawfish, you'll have to pay up. Colder-than-normal weather in January is hurting the crawfish harvest and that means, prices are increasing.

Officials say once temperatures go below 50 degrees, mudbugs become less active...and don't take the bait left out by harvesteres.

At Tony's Seafood, prices jumped from $3.69 to $4.49 a pound in one day, but customers are still buying the Louisiana delicacy.

Not to worry. Officials expect prices to go down once temperatures start to go up in the coming weeks.
