If you have a dairy, soy or wheat allergy and you love Louisiana food, then you might be impacted by the recall of a popular New Orleans-based product.

The Creole & Company, LLC of New Orleans is recalling 3.47 ounces of its Creole Bisque because it contains milk, soy and wheat, but that’s not listed on its label. If you have an allergy to any of those items, this is a serious and or potentially life-threatening risk.

All of the recalled packages were distributed to retail stores in Louisiana.
The product to avoid is in a 3.47 oz, clear package with UPC 8117766014869.

Officials say the company experiences a breakdown in it’s packaging process, which allowed for the error to make its way to consumers. Also, production and distribution of the product has been suspended until further notice.

Consumers who have purchased 3.47 ounce packages of Creole Bisque are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at (225) 362-0819, Monday through Friday, 12:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
