UPDATE: ExxonMobil continues investigation into fuel problems
BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — UPDATE 3-27-14: ExxonMobile is still investigating recent reports of problems with their fuel.
At this time, the company believes the issue is limited to two batches of fuel that were shipped in mid-March.
A new statement released Thursday afternoon reads: “We stand by our products and we are 100 percent committed to working with our customers and motorists to honor valid claims.”
According to their released statement, ExxonMobil is working with regulatory and local officials as they try to determine a cause and solve the issue.
The company also says it’s “committed to producing gasoline that meets the high quality standards that ExxonMobil applies from manufacture through distribution.”

ORIGINAL 3-26-14: ExxonMobil is investigating a potential issue with their gasoline after they received various reports from the Baton Rouge Area about potential problems with gas purchased in select locations.
ExxonMobil has shut down the Baton Rouge terminal gasoline loading racks until they have completed their investigation.
