The Better Business Bureau of Acadiana is alerting the public to a company that has multiple complaints alleging they received paid orders for uniforms, but delivered nothing more than broken promises.

That business is Team Uniforms 123, LLC of Millersville, MD.

According to BBB reports, the company currently has 47 complaints filed across the U.S., including Louisiana, for not filling paid orders for team uniforms.

Team Uniforms 123 has also failed to address a pattern of allegations from teams in more than 20 states that started their season without uniforms that were ordered and paid in full.

The business currently has and F rating with BBB, the lowest possible. Factors that lowered Team Uniforms 123 LLC's rating include 47 complaints filed against the business, failure to respond to 42 complaints filed against the business, three complaints filed against the business that were not resolved, and an overall complaint history with BBB.

The address for Team Uniforms 123 is a UPS store location.

The company also has a pending Government Action, as of June 11, the Maryland Attorney General's Office filed suit against Team Uniforms 123, LLC and two other related companies. Charges filed allege the business had taken thousands of dollars from consumers for custom uniforms that were not provided as promised. The matter is pending.

BBB offers the following tips when ordering team or club uniforms:

Start With Trust® at bbb.org.

Ask for references and contact them directly. References should be recent and comparable in scope and service provided. This may also help weed out new businesses. Don't settle for "years" of experience. You want to know the business has proven operational, management and customer service expertise.

Read the terms and conditions. A business is not obligated to provide service above and beyond the stated terms and conditions, so don't skip this step! Are there delivery guarantees in place? What happens if your order is late? Are refunds offered? Oftentimes, there are no refunds with custom orders, so delivery guarantees are important.

Look for complete company contact information. A P.O. Box is not a substitute for a verifiable, physical address. Is there an email address or simply a contact form? If there is a phone number, call it. Be sure you can talk to a live person if a problem occurs.

Is the website secure? Are transactions encrypted? Be sure online orders are placed only on encrypted and protected websites to avoid identity theft.

Start with Trust®. Check with the BBB before doing business at bbb.org. BBB works for a trustworthy marketplace by maintaining standards for truthful advertising, investigating and exposing fraud against consumers and businesses.
