Connecticut man arrested for chasing state marshal after being served notice from landlord

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (FOXCT-CNN) — A 36-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly chased a state marshal with a sword on Friday afternoon.
The marshal went to Radames Curbelo's home on Frederick Street to serve him with a notice to quit from the landlord, police said.
Curbelo slammed the door shut on the marshal. Curbelo then emerged from the home with a sword and chased the marshal down the street, police said.
The marshal dialed 911 while running. Curbelo stopped running after the marshal and damaged the marshal's Ford Explorer with the sword, police said.
Police officers responded to the address. Curbelo was charged with Second-Degree Breach of Peace, Second-Degree Threatening, First-Degree Reckless Endangerment, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, Interfering with Police and Third-Degree Criminal Mischief.
