Collection of rare & extremely valuable Christmas ornaments will soon change hands

Michael Nitsche has been collecting Christmas ornaments for six decades, amassing rare decorations fit for a museum.

Now a medical diagnosis has changed everything for the Sarasota, Florida resident.

He's selling it all.

"At one time I had 65,000 glass ornaments, usually from European countries," he says.

The collection is valued at thousands of dollars and includes many extremely rare pieces.

"It's time for them to have a new history," Nitzche says. "I was diagnosed with cancer last year, and this is my way to pay back the church who's helped me out a great deal."
