CO girl back in school after suspension for trying to support friend with cancer

The Caprock Academy Board of Directors, in Grand Junction, Colorado voted 3-1 to allow a little girl who shaved her head to return to school.

The story gained national attention after her bold move got her kicked out of class.

The school's dress code policy states that students are not allowed to have a shaved head.

In an executive session on Tuesday night, the board voted to allow and exception for what they call "an extraordinary cause worthy of our highest regard."
