Census: LA down one congrssional seat

BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - 2010 Census numbers are in - and the news isn't all good for Louisiana. The Census Bureau says although there was some population growth in Louisiana - it's not enough to keep all 7 Congressional Districts.
Now - State Officials have to go through a redistricting process.
Representative Rick Gallot is in charge of that task. He says with the loss of a district - the State's say in Congress also takes a back seat.
Gallot says redistricting won't be easy. Several community meetings are in place before a Special Session in March.
