A North Carolina landscaper got quite a scare this morning when he came upon a hefty alligator at a Cedar Point nursery.

The alligator was found at Redfearn's Nursery.

It was at least eight feet long and weighed in excess of 200 pounds.

It took North Carolina Wildlife officers and local police about an hour to snag the alligator.

The reptile was some 500 feet from the Intracoastal Waterway.

It was taken back to its natural habitat.
