NBC NATIONAL NEWS — We're just a few days away from the Kentucky Derby, but more than horses are running for the roses this week.

Capes, costumes, and crusaders are coming down the home stretch in the annual bed races in Louisville, which are formally known as The Stock Yard’s Bank Derby Festival Great Bed Races.

More than 40 teams take to the track, with prizes for the fastest times, best decorated bed, most entertaining and people's choice.
