NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Philadelphia police have released surveillance video of a hit-and-run that sent a young girl to the hospital.
Last Tuesday, Aijahanae Johnson, 9, was riding her bike near her home.
As she tried to cross the street, she was struck by a car which quickly left the scene.
A witness drove after the hit-and-run vehicle but was unable to stop it.
Johnson suffered non-life threatening injuries to her body and forehead.
She continues to recover.
Police say the hit-and-run vehicle was a dark-blue Cadillac with the letters “HTL” on a Pennsylvania license plate.
The driver appeared to be a woman in her 20s wearing a purple scarf, according to investigators.
