As gas prices continue to increase law enforcement says they are seeing a spike in gas theft.

Incidents like this one that was caught on tape in Sacramento, California, have risen by nearly 50 percent since January.

Police say that while some people siphon tanks, others puncture holes in the gas tanks.

Experts worry that as summer approaches and gas prices continue to soar fuel theft will also rise.

Here in Baton Rouge, if you see a gas theft happening, call Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP (7867).
