A dramatic rescue of a dog that fell through a frozen pond was caught on camera.

The helicopter from Denver's NBC affiliate happened to fly right over this rescue.

A dive team from the West Metro Fire Department saved this dog in Lakewood.

The dog apparently chased a coyote onto the ice before falling in. The rescuers were able to get the dog out of the water and out of the snow.

After getting a leash on the dog, rescuers loaded the pooch into an ambulance and took the dog to get checked out.

After the rescue, a local television station brought the dog on the show to be adopted, but ended up biting the news anchor in the face.
