Situated in the rolling hills of Newcastle, California is a new home constructed out of all American products.

Nearly everything inside and outside the 3,447 square foot home was made in the United States.

That includes all the cement, wood, glass windows and doors in Patrick and Renee Dubois' house.

Finding the right product for the right price has not been easy said Patrick Dubois. "Nails are typically made in China, so we went with steel nails that are American made," said Dubois.

"Overall there is only about a two percent price difference between American and imported products," Renee Dubois said.

For Ed Perez of Culture Stone Napa, American made products is what he's all about. He employed some 1,300 employees before the bottom fell out on the housing market. Today he employees about 300 people.

The Dubois' said they are particular proud of their American made solar panels. Most solar panels installed these days come from China. The Dubois' however found what they were looking for at Solar World in Portland, Oregon.

When it came to the faucets and fixtures, the Dubois' were only able to find about 60 percent of what they were looking for in the U.S. But they insist when it comes to furnishing their house, all of that will be made in the United States.
