Cajun Grammy done away with

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The Grammy for Cajun and Zydeco music has been eliminated.
Just a few months ago, Chubby Carrier won the Grammy; now, the National Recording Academy says it's time to downsize the number of awards handed out.
To replace it and various other awards, a Regional Roots category will be introduced. This will include Cajun and Zydeco music, along with Hawaiian and Native American albums.
Representatives from the Grammys say that these categories have a "very low" level of entries, they hope by combining all regional music, they'll have a higher level of participation.
