The long awaited opening of the new Main Library is closer than ever. The EBRP Library announced that there will be brief interruptions in service as they move into the new building.

The Library Director, Spencer Watts, plans to open the new Main Library in early January.

Until the opening, the bookmobile will be available for returns, renewals, and checkout of reserved items during the following days and times:

Mon-Sat
9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Sun
2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

CLOSED Jan 30-31

The other 13 branches will be open for regular business.

The computer systems and email will be down starting Sunday, Dec. 29 at 6:00 p.m. while the library’s data center is moved to the new building.

This will affect public and staff computers at all branches as well as telephone systems at the Main Library and Fairwood Branch.

Systems are expected to be back up on Monday, Dec. 30.

Patrons are advised to check the library’s website, www.ebrpl.com or Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/ebrpl for updates.

A grand opening is slated to take place later this spring.
