ZACHARY, LA (NBC33) - BREC officials and Raising Canes teamed up Saturday to cut the ribbon on a brand new dog park.

This dog park is the completion of the first phase of a much bigger community park.

Raising Cane's donated about 70,000 dollars to help to get the park up and running.

BREC Superintendent Bill Palmer says its all for the kids.

"Part of the paycheck when you work for recreation and parks is to see the children and the smiling faces that they bring to the park when they come." said Palmer
