NBC NATIONAL NEWS — More than two years after the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the Justice Department has made their first arrest.

Kurt Mix of Katy, Texas was arrested on Obstruction of Justice charges.

Sources say Mix intentionally deleted text messages with a BP supervisor, which were thought to be about BP's efforts to cap the well.

BP has not commented on the arrest.
