BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA) – “It’s awesome,” Brett Bahm, a country music fan, said to NBC33 News at the May 2010 Bayou Country Super Fest. “I think we should start doing this every year.”

And so they have.

Today, Tuesday, Oct. 27, the official lineup was announced during a press conference on LSU’s campus. This year, the roster of artists will include Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Trace Adkins, Billy Currington, Luke Bryan, and Sugarland.

Mayor Kip Holden, Quint Davis (Director for Bayou Country Super Fest), Joe Alleva (LSU Athletics Director), Pam Breaux (Secretary of the Department of Culture and Recreation and Tourism) and many more were available for comment during the announcement, which happened just after 11 a.m..

Tickets for this year’s event will go on sale November 10. Last year’s event drew an estimated 85,000 country music fans to LSU’s Tiger Stadium. Headlining performances last year included superstars Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Brooks and Dunn and Kelly Pickler.
