BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA) – Imagine how much your life would change if someone handed you $100,000. Charles “Aaron” Page III, 36, of Baton Rouge is in that exact situation today after taking a chance with a scratch off ticket.

As a joke, Page told the clerk he wanted two $5 scratch off tickets, but he let her pick the game. She chose the New Orleans Saints scratch off, and instantly, he was a winner.

“Everyone in the store was cheering and high-fiving me,” Page said in a press release issued by the Louisiana Lottery. “When I pulled away from the store, they were all staring at me.”

This is the second top prize winner of this season, and there are three remaining top prize tickets in circulation. Page bought his winning ticket at the LaPlace Travel Center, which is located on Highway 51.

Players who do not win a cash prize on the World Champions New Orleans Saints scratch-off can enter their nonwinning tickets in second-chance drawings for official autographed Saints merchandise and once-in-a-lifetime game-day experiences to see the Saints in action. The entry deadline for the next drawing is Nov. 8, 2010.

For security purposes, the Lottery also encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing.
