BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — An internal investigation at the ATC offices could end with some arrests.
Alcohol and Tobacco Commissioner Troy Hebert said his office uncovered some pretty shocking things during an investigation he launched a year ago.
He said the findings have already been turned over to the Inspector General's Office.
One claim focuses on an officer who was actually claiming hours while staying home or driving to work.
"One agent actually resigned instead of being fired, and two officers were demoted. So I think it's important that the people that work at ATC give the state an honest day's work for an honest day’s pay."
Hebert says police are also still trying to find out who shot at several unmarked department cars last year.
The Baton Rouge police department is handling that case.
