All electric car for sale in Baton Rouge

Louisiana is one of only seven states in the entire nation to get the latest in green technology. The new all electric Nissan LEAF is a fully equipped with all the latest gadgets, and gets 100 miles on a single battery charge.

With no gas tank and no tailpipe, the LEAF is a zero emission vehicle. Baton Rouge is the only city in Louisiana allowed to sell the vehicle. Although the final product will not be delivered until December, customers can get on the advanced order list.

"You sign up, you get an email, you order it and then the car gets shipped exactly the way that you ordered it,” Brad Smith, owner of Royal Nissan in Baton Rouge, explained. “We send somebody out to your house, they install the charging station at your house for you and you drive it home."

The demo version of the leaf is on display and ready for test drive at Royal Nissan. That's located off Old Hammond Highway near Goodwood Blvd.

I wonder what is the difference between the electric car and the normal car. Does an electric car have the same parts as the normal car? Like the air intakes, hoods, brakes and engines.

Is that "Energy Efficient(?) Leaf" Attached to ENTERGY, DEMCO, SLEMCO, POINTE COUPEE ELECTRIC or another "Clean Coal" Electricity Generating Plant? This thing is about as energy efficient as Obama's claims of Hope and Change. You'll save money on gas but go broke on electricity.
