New Pass, FL (WBBH-NBC News) — Eight of the pilot whales that were stranded in shallow water near New Pass, Florida have died, and rescuers continue to search for six others.
The Coast Guard has a slow speed zone enforced in the area while they search for the other whales, but they aren't hopeful.
