We've all heard of animals who predict who's going to win the Super Bowl, like most recently Eli the Ape from Salt Lake City who predicted the Seahawks will take home the trophy. Well, right here at home, two tigers are predicting who's going to win the big game tomorrow, but get this, their names are Denver and Seattle!

"A lot of zoos do different predictions with different animals, but none of them have the actual city names. So, it's a little bit unique to us," Jennifer Shields, the education curator at BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo said.

Meet Denver and Seattle.

"Well, these are two brothers. They're Sumatran tigers. They're six years old," Shields explained. "They came to us from the Los Angeles Zoo where they were born, and they actually came with the names Denver and Seattle."

Yes, that's their real names, and zoo officials have the paperwork to prove it.

"So we decided, who better to pick who's going to win the Super Bowl than Denver and Seattle," Shields said. "So, we put at two boxes filled with hay and scented with cinnamon and waited to see who would go to which box."

People waited anxiously to see which tiger would pick up the box marked "champion" and which one would go to the "better luck next time" one. Well it happened so fast, Seattle came out and picked up the "champion" box.

"But part way through, they switched and they ended up, Seattle had the "better luck next time box" and Denver had the "champion" box," Shields said.

For mom and daughter Bronco fans, Brandi and Zoe Schaeffer, they were nervous at first.

"My heart dropped a little bit into my stomach, but I knew that wasn't going to last," Brandi said.

After Denver came back and took the "champion" box, there was hope. Brandi has a more precise prediction for the big game.

"Let's go with 25-20, Broncos. Broncos are going to be slow and steady, and the ones that prevail in the end," Brandi said.

"So maybe it's Seattle takes the first half, and Denver comes out strong in the end and finishes and wins," Shields said.

Tune in Sunday on our sister station Fox 44 to see if the tigers predictions came true. Kickoff's at 5:30 P.M.
