If you're looking for a great deal on a "unique" gift this Black Friday, the Companion Animal Alliance says it can help.

This Friday, cats and dogs over 40 pounds that are all black or mostly black will be sold for only $25.

The animals are micro chipped, up to date on shots, and are spayed or neutered. The idea help get these sometimes hard to adopt animals a loving home.

"We have an over abundance of black animals that don't get adopted as quickly as say a fluffy white animal,” said Paula Shaw of CAA. “So we want to draw attention to them because they are wonderful animals. They aren't as flashy, and people don't necessarily go to them first to adopt.”

If you want to pick up one of these furry friends, the shelter is open from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Black Friday.

You can see more on our broadcast at 5:00 p.m.
