Meatball is so much more than the average kitty.

The 4-year-old domestic shorthaired lives in an office and relieves himself in a Rubbermaid under-bed storage container because, at 36 pounds, he's too large for a normal cat's accommodations.

Meatball was surrendered to an animal shelter in Mesa, Arizona on Tuesday morning and then sent to the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control shelter in Phoenix where he is receiving extra attention intended to reduce his sizable weight.
