MOBILE, AL (NBC) — An Alabama mother says she was threatened after she started nursing her daughter inside a Mobile courtroom.
Gina Harris is no stranger to the Bay Haas Court building, as she several times has tended to business inside, but she says she has never been treated as she did this time around.
"It was sad, it was stressful and embarrassing. I hope nobody else has to deal with it," said Harris.
She claims that she started nursing her daughter inside the courtroom, but shortly after starting, court staff ordered her to stop.
According to Harris, the staff "came around the corner shaking his finger at me saying that I couldn't breast feed."
