NBC NEWS — Papaya, grown in Mexico and sold here in Louisiana, could be linked to a potential salmonella outbreak. The Food and Drug Administration says if you've bought papaya from Agro-Mod Produce, don't eat it.
Agro-Mod is a distributor based in Texas, and they are recalling the fruit now.
Nearly 100 people have already gotten sick, and ten cases were serious. If you think you have salmonella poisoning, get checked out by a doctor immediately.
