NBC NEWS — There may be a new way to help prevent strokes in people with a common heart rhythm disorder.
Duke University researchers say an anti-clotting drug called Rivaroxaban is as effective as the drug Warfarin at preventing strokes in patients with atrial fibrillation, and patients did not experience as many bleeding complications.
The double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial included more than 14,000 patients.
