NBC NEWS — A new survey finds nearly 6 million children in the U.S. have food allergies.
Of that group, more than a third had a history of severe allergic reactions. Another third, allergic to multiple foods.
The most common foods kids were allergic to were peanuts, milk and shellfish.
African-American and Asian children were also more likely to have food allergies, while families with low incomes were less likely.
