BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) -- Mike Greiner's life was saved seven years ago, when he received a donated kidney and pancreas. Mike's donor was a total stranger, someone they now know as Annie. Now the Greiner family is giving back.
One year ago, they sold their Illinois home. They're now using the money to travel state-to-state, signing up organ donors along the way.
And they're doing it all in Annie's honor.
The Greiners will be in the Baton Rouge area all weekend. You can meet them, hear more about their story and sign up to be a donor, too.
Benny's Car Wash is working with the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency and the Greiners to make Louisiana the state with the most donors signed up on the Greiner family road trip.
