Autism study sparks controversy
A study released by the Center for Autism and Related Disorders or CARD is causing controversy. The three year study included 14 children under the age of five who had been diagnosed with autistic disorder, the most severe variant in the spectrum. The children received at least 25 hours a week of one-on-one therapy for three years. At the end of the study, CARD says six of the children had fully recovered. But parents and experts here say that’s just not possible.
